“Super Bowl XLIV” The Most-Watched TV Program in History
CBS’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIV became the most-watched TV program in history.
Nielsen says 106.5 million TV viewers watched the New Orleans Saints defeat the Indianapolis Colts, according to reports by the Associated Press. That surpasses the 105.97 million who watched the series finale of M*A*S*H on Feb. 28, 1983, which was also aired on CBS.
The previous record viewership for a Super Bowl was set just last year, when 98.7 million people watched the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Arizona Cardinals.

Manning and the Colts are favored to win next year’s Super Bowl BIG, according to odds released Monday by BetUS.com.
Indianapolis is a 7-1 favorite to take home the NFL championship, followed by the Chargers (8-1), Saints (9-1) and the Patriots (10-1).
The Rams, coming off a 1-15 season, are the longest shot on the board at 150-1.
Indianapolis is 3-1 to get back to the Super Bowl, while New Orleans is 5-1.

Greg Oden’s NBA career on the court has not yet taken off. The former No. 1 pick missed what would’ve been his rookie season with a knee injury, came back last year and had lost some of the athleticism and explosion he was known for in college and just as he looked like he was putting it together this year, another injury cost him the rest of the season.
While the injuries have been frustrating, Oden’s latest attention-grabbing misstep will most likely result in embarrassment. Pictures of a man who looks suspiciously similar to Oden taking a picture of his dong in front of a mirror with a cell phone camera have hit the Internet, again placing Oden in the news for something that doesn’t involve basketball.
Oden and the Portland Trail Blazers have yet to acknowledge the photos. While they are unlikely to result in disciplinary action if they actually are photos of him, Oden will join Santonio Holmes, Jeff Reed and Grady Sizemore as other athletes who have recently had photos purportedly intended for private use show up online.
