George Steinbrenner R.I.P

George Steinbrenner, who boug the New York Yankees team in 1973 has passed away.
A heart attack is believed to be the cause. He was 80.

Got to love a man you will pay a number to win!!
Gary Coleman death photo
This is how Shannon Price makes money now. By exploiting her dying/dead ex-husband. This is tantamount to a photo bomb. The way she set it up is like a picture you take of your friend while he’s passed out drunk. The only thing missing is a penis drawn on Gary’s cheek with a Sharpie and Shannon giving two thumbs up.
This is the cover of The Globe who’s running the story that Gary Coleman was murdered.
Rest in Peace Denis Hopper

Iconic film actor Denis Hopper passed away today. He was 74. Many people expected this to happen. He has had prostate cancer and been terminally ill for several months now.
Best known for his roles in Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now and Blue Velvet, Hopper has had a turbulent career and personal life. He was nearly completely black listed in Hollywood for his horrendous treatment of others, and his abuse of alcohol and drugs. He is reported to have so angered True Grit star John Wayne that Wayne chased after Hopper with a loaded weapon. His abuse of alcohol and cocaine continued well into the 1980’s. After he was committed to an LA psych ward for severe hallucinations, he joined Alcoholics Anonymous and quit drugs as well as alcohol.
He wrote, directed, and starred in Easy Rider, one of eight movies he would direct and four he would write.
Hopper worked on several movies in his early years, and was contracted to both Columbia and Warner Brothers. He made Rebel Without A Cause which starred James Dean. He had a bit role in that. His first role was for television in 1954.
Hopper’s final films- The Last Film Festival and Alpha and Omega- have yet to be released. He was born 17 May 1936 in Dodge City, Kansas. He was married five times. His marriage to Victoria Duffy does not appear to have been dissolved before his death today. LezGetReal

The Guru dies at 43
Guru, one-half of influential hip-hop duo Gang Starr, died Tuesday morning at age 43 of cancer-related causes.
The Boston-born, New York-based rapper, whose real name was Keith Elam, suffered a heart attack in March and had been in a coma (though he had since woken up). He was 43 years old.
“The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time — my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru,” said longtime collaborator and friend Solar in a statement.
“This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius.”
Houston-born DJ Premier was the second-half of Gang Starr alongside Guru, though the pair’s relationship soured over the last several years.
Guru left a letter for fans that said he had “exhausted all medical options.” He urged them to support Each One Counts, a nonprofit for chronically and terminally ill children.
The statement, provided by Solar, also indicates that Guru does not want Premier “to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death.”
“This letter is way outta hand Solar,” Premier writes on his blog.
“Why the (expletive) did nobody stopped that dude??? I’m stuck with mix feelings, sorry. I can’t accept this. R.I.P. Guru, play his songs!! He will be remembered for ever and ever!!”
Gang Starr first came to national attention with 1989’s No More Mr. Nice Guy, but it was 1991’s Step In The Arena that made the duo hip-hop heavyweights. They were among the first to blend jazz and hip-hop. (1998 album Moment of Truth was their best-selling album and certified gold for sales of 500,000 units.)
