Paris Hilton arrested “Marijuana Possession” — Again
Paris Hilton was arrested early Saturday after the heiress was caught with kush in her Gucci handbag by customs officials, police sources told The Associated Press.
Hilton, 29, had just arrived at Figari airport in Corsica on a private jet from Paris when officials made the discovery. The socialite was found in possession of less than a gram and released in 30 minutes. She was taken to the police station, but will not face charges.
Police told the local newspaper Corse Matin: “Ms Hilton was taken aside as she landed at Figari. She was searched in a secure area of the airport police station and an amount of cannabis that weighed less than a gram, was found in her handbag. Due to the small amount of the substance, she was cautioned to not travel with drugs then released within an hour with no criminal charges. The drug was confiscated and destroyed.”
The arrest comes two weeks after she was arrested for drugs during a World Cup match in South Africa.

California’s Legalize-Marijuana Measure Would Decrease Cost of Weed by 80%
Kush prices could drop as much as 80 percent in California if Proposition 19, the weed-legalization measure on this November’s ballot, passes, according to researchers at Rand’s Drug Policy Research Center. Plus, weed would be legal.
The Santa Monica-based, nonprofit research institute predicted the cost of marijuana, which runs between $300 and $450 per ounce, could plunge to about $38 by eliminating the expense of compensating suppliers for the challenges of operating in the black market.
The researchers were not certain how much that decline in price might spur use, but noted that one typical estimate is that a 10% drop in price increases use by about 3%. Other factors, such as the elimination of legal risks, could also increase usage between 5% and 50%.

Paris Hilton Busted Smoking Kush, Case Dismissed
Paris Hilton was arrested after a World Cup match in South Africa on Friday only to be released without charge.
Hilton was arrested on charges of suspicion of possession of marijuana outside the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on Friday after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup quarter-final game.
Hilton had been attending the match when she was escorted by police at around 8 PM local time to the Mount Road Police station in St. Croix. She arrived at a special court hearing looking tense and wearing a beige cardigan and green trousers before being released from custody, with the apologies of the court.
“Paris Hilton was questioned today by police in South Africa on allegations of smoking marijuana. However I can confirm that the incident was a complete misunderstanding and it was actually another person in the group who did it,” a publicist for Hilton said. “The case has been dropped against Paris and no charges will be made. The authorities have apologized for wrongfully accusing her since she had nothing to do with the incident.”
The star herself hit Twitter this evening to clear up the arrest report lighting up the blogosphere.
Paris Tweeted: “Everything is completely fine. I was not charged or arrested, cause I didn’t do anything,” she wrote. “I was assisting the police with the investigation and answering their questions. Everyone was super nice and friendly to me. I love South Africa! Such an amazing place, especially during The World Cup! Hope that clears everything up.”.”

Samsung heiress busted with 230kg of Chronic
One of the heirs to the Samsung Electronics fortune has been arrested after US police found almost 230kg of marijuana in her luggage.
Lisette Lee, 28, was arrested by Federal Drug Enforcement Officials after a private jet she was on landed at Port Columbus International Airport in Ohio.
Officials stopped Ms Lee, who lives in Beverly Hills in California, after becoming suspicious of the amount of luggage she was travelling with – 13 bags in total.
Ohio news channel WBNS reported that the Drug Enforcement Agency in California tipped off officials in Columbus.
It claims that when the plane landed, agents were waiting as luggage, allegedly containing the marijuana, was loaded into three waiting vans.
Authorities also confiscated three mobile phones, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and suspected drug ledgers that showed some $US300,000 ($348,758) in transactions.

The often-troubled actress appears happy and relaxed at a small gathering of friends that likely dates back to 1958 or 1959.
“I had it up in my attic all this time,” says the woman who shot the silent home movie and confirms that the “Some Like It Hot” star was smoking marijuana. The friend of Marilyn, who doesn’t want to be named publicly, said she regularly hung out with the starlet but doesn’t have a compelling reason for why it has taken her so long to part with the footage. “Home movies, that’s all it was,” she told NBCNewYork.com Tuesday. “It was never a big deal for me.”
New York-based collector Keya Morgan bought the film for $275,000 and plans to sell it in an auction at a later date.
“People have never seen her in such a relaxed pose,” he says of the sex symbol, who died of an overdose in 1962. Morgan, a collector of historical photos, manuscripts, autographs and documents, is also working on a documentary on the death of Monroe.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe was allegedly photographed smoking marijuana at a party in North London this month. The 20-year-old star was seen laughing uncontrollably during a get-together thrown by a friend of his on-off actress girlfriend Laura O’Toole.
Photographs have emerged of the former child star appearing dazed and confused after apparently smoking a “joint.” Onlookers say Daniel was so high he let a girl scribble all over his face. Wadia Tazi, a 26-year-old Londoner also present at the party, describes Radcliffe as completely out of his mind and behaving erratically during their encounter. Daniel even wondered around the apartment exclaiming: “I love weed,” if Wadia’s words are to be believed.
“He looked spaced out and didn’t look like he knew what was going on,” Wadia blabbed in Friday’s edition of The Mirror. “Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. But he didn’t really look like he knew what was going on I was surprised by his behavior,” he added.
“Daniel looked spaced out and away with the fairies. He didn’t want us to recognize him. When I said he looked like that actor in Lord of the Rings [Elijah Wood], he got a bit funny and said, ‘No, that’s not me’. He looked pretty uncomfortable. I didn’t recognize him as he looked so different to what I expected from the films. When my friend told me who he was, I was shocked.”
The actor then made a swift exit from the party after one of his photographers spotted fellow partygoers snapping cell phone photos of Daniel’s escapades.
Wadia explained: “Laura was very protective. She said Daniel had a reputation to protect and couldn’t ruin it. I presume she meant by being seen smoking. I said I didn’t know what she was talking about. But almost immediately afterwards, she and Daniel left.”
But Daniel’s rep insists he’s not smoking what the paper says he’s smoking. In a statement Friday, Daniel’s camp said: “We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror. Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.”

On Monday the Obama administration issued new guidelines for arresting those who are both legally selling and buying the drug.

The new policy tells prosecutors to stop wasting their time going after those in compliance with the state law, specifically those providing or using medical marijuana.
The 3 page long memo urges the prosecutors in the 14 states allowing medical marijuana and to top officials at the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration to go after marijuana cases that involve violence, the illegal use of firearms, selling pot to minors, money laundering or involvement in other crimes.
While the DEA and FBI may be upset about the new policy, medical marijuana advocates are excited that the Prez has kept his word on changing the policy.
Bruce Mirken of the Marijuana Policy Project says the change “moves the federal government dramatically toward respecting scientific and practical reality.”
