This is NOT IT! “Michael Jackson” Spread the Truth
Not everyone is thrilled to see the new This Is It documentary about Michael Jackson. Some fans are down-right outraged and have started a campaign against the flick.
The campaign, dubbed This Is Not It, is lead by a group of Jackson fans who feel the movie ignores the “dire state” of MJ’s health in those last final months of his life as promoters ran him ragged for their benefit.
The group has started a website that details what audiences will and won't see included in the footage as well as this message to fellow fans:
“In the weeks leading up to Michael Jackson’s death, while this footage was being shot, people around him knew that he looked like he might have died. Those who stood to make a profit chose to ignore it. Friends and fans who had no financial interest, chose to address it and attempted to help him. AEG, the promoters for This Is It, ignored the signs, ignored the pleas, and in fact, actively covered up the truth. What you will see on that screen is part of that cover up.”
Along with the website, the group created their own trailer for the movie to showcase their point-of-view on the documentary. Watch as the creators play with footage and photos from Michael's life to create a very different perspective.

MJ is The King!
Michael Jackson is dead. he is deceased. he is out of this world and on to a better place. Can we just stop talking about it and making up our own versions of his life. Noone knows what really went on and whether or not he did drugs he is the king of pop and will always be and thats all we need to remember.
Why is Michael Jackson always the victim? Everyone makes it sound like he didn’t have the power to say no to anyone. He died because he was a drug addict not because people were making him rehearse. If certain people would have stopped suppling him drugs he would have gone somewhere else and gotten them. Thats what drug addicts do.
Michael’s autopsy showed he weighed 139 lbs at the time of his death which was within the healthy range for his height of 5′9. I think that people enabled him but at the same time I don’t think anybody knew how bad he was…. Also, you can’t blame AEG for his death if Michael couldn’t handle the schedule he could’ve said something…. he missed when he needed too…. I think it was just his time for God to call him home….
We lost the greatest entertainer that ever lived……i don’t care how……just leave him at peace and spare us anymore pain……turn on billy jean and remember him before all this maddness
it has happened before. The ‘cash cow’ gets ignored because he/she is bringing in money for many involved. One more album, one more concert tour, one more award and then he/she can rest. in peace.

MJs death was tragic and sad and yes, there are going to be many who will want the truth. but in the world we live in, sadly that is not going to happen. Yes there were many greedy people who didnt look after him and let him continue his drug addiction (it must be accepted that he was addicted to drugs due to stress or what i dont know) but instead of creating negativity that will continue the michael jackson legend, shouldnt people be willing to celebrate his life? remembering him as an ill, frail man who was not ready for the tours that he was relentlessly preparing for . is that the best way to remember a legend? a man who used music to bring the world together? is that they way he would want to be remembered? or would it be the musical mastermind who could dance like he was 20 despite his deteriorating health?
i think these people need to think more carefully about what they are doing. Yes there are many greedy people profiting off his death and they will continue to do so but this happens to many BIG celebrities and legends. this is not it, in my opinion, is doing more bad than good. its trying to cause something instead of letting people enjoy and celebrate the life of Michael Jackson.

OK. MJ is not just a victim. He was a drug addict. He WANTED the drugs. He knew what he was taking and threw fits when people tried to keep him from using. Yes he was amazing and yes he had a hard life, but nobody MADE him do drugs. Its called rising above your circumstances. People do it all the time.
Interesting! There will always be a veil of mystery surrounding MJ’s death. In the ‘Legend’ sense, this will fortunately or unfortunately keep his legend alive like it did with Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean, Jimmy Morrison, etc. People will continue to profit off of his death like most of the names I’ve mentioned above. Time will only tell if the revenue will fall in the the right hands, like his children.
I’m sold! They’re right, those who could’ve prevented the tragic event that was his death are now benefiting their pockets.
People did try and save MJ but he was so powerful that he was able to shut out anyone that didn’t cater to him. The sad fact is MJ was a drug addict! and he had so many enablers that it finally killed him, sad but true!!

i think (and hope) that the original idea of the movie was to celebrate MJ’s life, so it makes sense to me that they leave out the negative aspect.
however, since we obviously know he was on the road to death during filming, i feel like it would be accurate to at least acknowledge that he was unhealthy
I love him so much. He was so sensitive to human needs and we lost somebody who was helping and influencing the world through his art. Those people who accused him with the child molestation cases, I hope they die!!!!
you hit the nail on the head…i’m tired of everyone feeling sorry for him, he made millions upon millions of dollars and had every opportunity to live a great life yet he chose to have inappropriate relationships with kids, and excessive drug use.

Michael had serious issues even before the idea of his This Is Tour came about…you hear that his autopsy showed he was in pretty decent health (minus his drug use), but then you also hear he looked haggard and sickly…with Michael Jackson, there’s nothing that you can truly believe about his personal life. What we can believe is that he was an AMAZING entertainer, he made some of the greatest music that we will ever hear in our lifetime, and he impacted so many lives for the better. Of course the companies he worked with are going to make money off of his death…he’s Michael Jackson! I think the best way to show we’re still supporting him is to let him rest in peace…and play his music over and over again…don’t stop ’til you get enough!
know the coroner said he was in good health, but in my eyes he looked sick. He was very skinny, anorexic looking. Michael did say that when he was stressed he wouldn’t eat. You can clearly tell he was going through something. I know if someone I loved was looking the way he did, I would try to help them, not push them to rehearse. And of course AEG isn’t going to show the bad stuff, they don’t want anyone pointing fingers at them. I believe that there is something else going on, but were never going to know what. All we can do is just let him rest in peace. And I will be watching the movie. I’m a MJ fan I have to see him in action.
It’s hard to imagine that as a perfectionist, Michael Jackson would have wanted this film to happen. Concert promoters, choreographer and others who will benefit have convinced themselves otherwise to make a buck and gain some fame. Another tragic chapter.
